Accessing the Online Images Database
CSU Photography maintains catalogs of images our photographers have produced both
for university clients and on speculation in a Canto Cumulus database.
Stock Images Available Online
All photos are the property of the CSU Photography, Department of Communications
and Creative Services, Colorado State University and copyrighted as such. Photographs
may only be used to promote Colorado State University programs and activities. Without
specific permission photos may not be used or altered
to depict the subject of a photo in a negative light, or subject persons to ridicule,
or be used to illustrate topics of sexual issues, substance abuse, physical or mental
abuse, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, AIDS, cancer, or serious physical or mental ailments,
or the disparagement of a person or product.
Use Fees
Use fees will not be assessed for the use of photographs created under contract
by the client’s department, college or division. However, it cannot be assumed that
a client’s department contracted the photography just because photograph depicts
a department’s activities. There may be fees for time to do photo research, scanning,
retouching, color correction and file transfer. You will be made aware at the beginning
of a project if such fees are required to fulfill your request.
CSU Photography supplies photographs of campus activities to off campus editorial
media doing stories on Colorado State University at no charge.
